About Fork

A fork occurs when one piece attacks two or more of the opponent's pieces at the same time, making it impossible to save them all. Knights are particularly dangerous forking pieces due to their unique movement, but any piece can deliver a fork. Recognizing fork opportunities and avoiding being forked are fundamental skills every chess player must develop.
