About Interference

Interference is a subtle tactical motif where a piece is sacrificed or moved to a square between two opponent's pieces, disrupting their connection. This cuts off the line of communication between two defending pieces, such as a rook defending a queen, or a bishop guarding a key square. Recognizing interference opportunities requires a keen eye for piece coordination.
