About Skewer
A skewer is a powerful tactical motif where a valuable piece is attacked and forced to move, leaving a less valuable piece behind it undefended. Bishops, rooks, and queens are the attacking pieces in skewers. Recognizing skewer opportunities can lead to winning material or even checkmate in positions that may initially seem unclear.
